We are non-profit, and 100% volunteer-run. Our goal is to be a community-based, family-oriented club that promotes teamwork and a feeling of belonging among all levels of skaters. While we pursue the development of skaters under the parameters of Ice Skating Australia (www.isa.org.au), we strive to do so in a manner that creates a supportive, collegial environment.
The Silver Blades Figure Skating Club was initially formed to assist skaters who had passed Ice Skating Australia Inc test level of Preliminary and wished to complete nationally as single skaters. In recent years the club has been extended to include Aussie Skate and Recreational skaters to allow them to participate in competitions run by our club at the IceArenA (www.icearena.com.au).
Club membership runs from March to February. All memberships are due for renewal in March of every year.
Our Members range from beginner levels through to Senior levels in figure skating and ice dance and include all age groups.
Our home rink IceArena is located in Thebarton, 5 minutes by Tram from the City.
Address: 23 James Congdon Drive Thebarton SA 5031
